Born Olufela Olusegun Oludotun Ransome-Kuti; Fela Kuti or Fela Anikulapo Kuti (15th October, 1938 - 2nd August, 1997), was a Nigerian musician and political activist. He is essentially regarded as the principal innovator of the Afrobeat genre, a Nigerian style of music which sees to combine West African music with American funk and jazz. As a composer and an instrumentalist, he played several instruments like the saxophone, keyboard, guitar, trumpet...
