The Forever Story was released in August, 2022; under license of both Dreamville and Interscope Records. It is the 3rd studio album by the rapper JID; recorded over a 2-year period, the album is purportedly a sequel to his debut The Never Story, as it offers introspective lyricism into some of the rapper's experiences growing up (much like it's predecessor). It features the guest appearances of Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Ari Lennox, EARTHGANG, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Baby Tate, Yasiin Bey, among others. Contributing producers to the album include names such as James Blake, Christo, Cardiak, Khrysis, Childish Major, Monte Booker, and so on.
