In 1996 when Dr. Dre eventually left Death Row Records to go establish his own record label, which he called Aftermath Entertainment, he had a single out titled Been There, Done That. In that year he compiled this single along with multiple other tracks rendered by various other artistes, most freshly signed to his new label as at the time and delivered this compilation as the album titled Dr. Dre Presents... The Aftermath. Some of the parties to the project include Mel-Man, RBX, RC, Nowl, King T, Maurice Wilcher and Jheryl Lockhart, among others.
